Jen and Jay wish you a warm welcome to Owl House.
Short or longer stays are offered on a room only basis with the added advantage of a kitchen for guests who prefer not to eat out every day.
Communal areas are cleaned daily and rooms as required. We are available on site but enjoy allowing guests to make themselves at home with no interference.
There is off road parking and guests use a key safe for self check in.
Our location makes Owl House the perfect place to explore Cornwall or commute to the main towns with ease.
OUR ROOMS
Owl House is a beautiful period house with spacious, comfortable rooms.
Tea and coffee making facilities and free Wi-Fi are found in each room. There is a self catering kitchen for your convenience.
If you have children please enquire and we can accommodate them on sofa beds in our family rooms.
Please contact us to book. The first night's payment is a deposit and balances are due upon arrival.
Owl Facilities
Kitchen
Owl House is available on a room only basis but all guests have the option of using the kitchen. It includes a dining area and space for food storage in the fridge freezer. The washing machine/dryer is a small charge.
Free Wifi
Wifi is free throughout the whole house and usually has a strong signal. Guests also have digital TV.
Short or Longer Stays
At Owl House we are able to offer a range of packages for guests whether they are in the area for business or pleasure purposes. Contact us for discounts on stays of over a week.
Housekeeping
Rooms are let on a self catering basis. We clean communal areas daily and change bed linen and towels (provided) according to guest's wishes. We pride ourselves on being of non-interference; guests have their own keys and can be assured that rooms will not be disturbed unless prior notice is arranged.
Room Facilities
Allow yourself to unwind at Owl House with a cup of tea or coffee using the tea making facilities in your room. Why not borrow one of our board games, books or DVD's at the same time?
Location
Owl House is on a leafy, desirable street in Redruth, just a five minute walk from the train station and local shops. The choice of local beaches is second to none and the towns of Falmouth, St Ives and Truro are all within a half an hour drive so Redruth really is a great spot to base yourself.

THINGS TO DO
Beaches
There are numerous beaches from small coves to wide expanses of sand. The closest beaches are Porthtowan and Portreath (both 3 miles). Within a half hour drive you also have a choice of beaches at Falmouth, St Ives, Newquay and Perranporth. Gwithian beach is 20 minutes away.
Towns
Redruth town is historic with many important architectural features, many related to the mining industry.
The towns of Truro, Falmouth, St Ives and Newquay are all within a half hour drive.
Tourist Attractions
Accessible from Redruth are many attractions from the theme park Flambards to Dairyland (a farm day out) and Paradise Park (a bird based day). Further north is the Eden Project and Lappa Valley Steam Railway, all accessible for a day trip.
Food/Leisure
Within a couple of minutes walk there is a fish and chip restaurant and a meadery restaurant. There are local shops and takeaways in Redruth (5-10 mins walk)
If you are keen walker, Cornwall has it all from cliff walks to scenic valleys.
Water Sports
Water sports deserve a special mention because if this is your thing, Cornwall has it all. The north coast is perfect for surfing while the south coast usually offers a gentler ride for kayaking. Body boarding is great fun for children.

Gardens
What makes this area stand out is the array of subtropical plants that can be grown in Cornwall. From the Lost Gardens of Heligan to Trebah or Trelissick, you are spoilt for choice.
